  1. Last night, Tuesday November 13th, the Women's Media Center held our third annual Women's Media Awards to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to advancing women’s and girls’ visibility and power in media.
  2. Academy Award Nominated Actress Anne Hathaway was the host of the Media Awards. A supporter of the Women's Media Center, Hathaway believes in the "advocacy for women and girls worldwide to be more visible and powerful."
  3. At 6pm, it was time for cocktails and the red carpet!
  4. Sarah Hoye, all platform journalist for CNN, was the recipient of the Carol Jenkins Emerging Journalist Award.
  5. The 2012 Women's Media Awards also honored journalist Lisa Ling, Host of Our America With Lisa Ling on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, and her sister, journalist Laura Ling, host and reporter for E! Investigates, a documentary series on the E! Network. The two powerhouse sisters were the recipients for The Women's Media Center Sisterhood is Powerful Award.
  6. Multiple Emmy & Peabody Award Winner Pat Mitchell, President & CEO of The Paley Center for Media, and Founding Co-Chair of The Women's Media Center, was the recipient of The Women’s Media Center’s first annual Lifetime Achievement Award.
  7. After cocktails and red carpet mayhem, it was time for the program to start.
