*sappy post warning*
I transferred to W&M the spring of my freshman year, and I was mentally not in a great place when I arrived. After a terrible first semester experience, I was terrified to start over at a new school, especially in the middle of the year when everyone would have already made friends. I was randomly, luckily, assigned to live with --the most important person in my transition to William & Mary. Jane included me in everything from the beginning (hall-wide cards against humanity nights, meals with her friends, even her first date party!), never making me feel like a weird transfer kid who took up too much space. If you ever hear me talk about Jane, I'll probably go on and on about our first semester as roommates, because it was exactly what I needed.
Jane is still my best friend today and we're living together again this year! It's the people that make William & Mary so wonderful, and she is one of the best. UPDATE Jane just found my keys after I ran around looking for them all morning this just reaffirms her greatness
Okay sorry for embarrassing you, you can go back to refusing to pose for photos now 💗#williamandmary -
