So, You Want to be the Next High Commissioner? 2014

Day 5 - 25th July 2014

  1. Today was the final day of #HRYouth 2014 and one thing is for sure, our participants were eager to make the most of it!

  2. Matteo Guidotti, trainer at the NGO Management School, resumed the project management course by focusing on human rights project development. In the morning, he divided our participants into various groups with the aim of undertaking a project development presentation in the afternoon.

  3. Future High Commissioners then presented their projects, which were varied and very interesting. As our training relies on a participatory approach, everyone could give their feedback and it contributed to strengthening promising ideas and initiatives. Projects dealt with topics such as domestic violence and human rights awareness programs in schools and universities.

  4. We then announced the Human Rights champions, from First to Third place: Elene from UNA-Georgia, Ellen from UNA-Belgium and Anne from UNA-Finland. Congratulations girls!

We finally handed out HR Youth and Project Management Cycle certificates to our participants before Aziel Philippos-Goulandris officially closed #HRYouth's 2014 session.

  5. From the whole WFUNA team, we would like to thank our participants for their dynamism, energy and commitment to human rights, all of which made this year's training session so intense and interesting.

We are looking forward to hearing from our participants, who will now implement their projects with the assistance of their UNAs in their home countries. Thanks for following us all week!
