Pi in the Sky: Skywriters draw first 1,000 digits of pi

A team of five synchronized aircraft equipped with dot-matrix technology wrote the first 1,000 numbers of Pi (3.14...) in the sky in a 161-kilometre loop around the San Francisco Bay area. Each number was 0.4-km in height. The artist ISHKY and Stamen Design did this for the 2012 ZERO1 Biennial.
