The polls in Redlands closed at 8 p.m., and President Barack Obama was announced the election winner minutes afterward.
On Facebook, many Redlanders expressed an exhaustion with the polarization, and cried out for unity.

I was in a meeting until 8:30. almost cried when I got in the car and NPR "was not ready, but..." The commentator said they had not yet called it because "NPR is conservative" had to laugh with joy!
