Inside and up in the air

Globe and Mail transportation reporter Brent Jang is among the first in Canada to fly aboard the light-weight, efficient plane

  1. Early this Sunday morning, Brent boarded the Dreamliner for The Globe's first flight. Looks like he had a good seat.
  2. Brent had to turn his smartphone off for the take-off from Toronto, and this demonstration model isn't equipped with in-flight internet access. But he continued the updates during the one-hour flight, which he's been sending since landing in Boston.
  3. Back on the ground, the tour of the plane isn't over.
  4. On Friday, Air Canada invited the media to a 75th anniversary event at Toronto's Lester B. Pearson International Airport. There, they got their first glimpse of the 787 Dreamliner, seen here upon landing Thursday afternoon. Click here to see a video of the landing shot by Boeing.
