Day 1: TechCamp NYC
- CUNY Graduate School for Journalism's Tow-Knight Center for Entrepreneurial Journalism in New York City was the perfect venue for TechCamp NYC: Protection of Journalists in Conflict Zone. The two-day event brought together journalists working in conflict zones, non-governmental organizations and others that provide assistance to them, including government and UN officials, and technologists.

- "Journalism is vital. Journalists are our eyes and ears. They let all of us know if conflicts are brewing. They can reveal human rights violations. So, journalists have an integral role to play in the world, and we need them to be able to do that without having to fear for their lives."- Jon Piechowski, Deputy Director of Communications for the US Mission to the United Nations
