  1. This time, I ate something every hour to keep my blood sugar up.  It paid off, but an injury somewhat nullified any gains.Geotagged Album
  2. I started at 05:00 as usual.
  3. There were some cyclists doing the ride around Hood Canal
  4. We ended up leapfrogging a few times on Bainbridge Island, but they stopped just pass Agate Pass while I kept going.
  5. In Silverdale, I came across a section of the Clear Creek Trail.  While Google Told me to go on a narrow, gravel pedestrian path to shortcut it, I continued along the road to reach the paved part.  I was surprised to find both this trail, as well as the road leading up to it being split into motored and non-motored sections by a line.

  10. I got into the habit of getting water from roadside espresso stands and being kind enough to leave a little tip since I didn't want to buy anything.

  12. There were a number of cyclists in Holly, though some were riding the wrong way along the shoulder.  I had no idea such an event was going on.   It was nice seeing more non-"road warrior" folks out and about.

  15. And somewhere near Belfair, a guy in a huge, gussied-out red pickup blared his horn while he passed me.  This was right near a county bicycle route, too.
