  1. As always, the album contains more photos than those shown here.  I also geotagged a bunch of them so you can see where they were taken, as there wasn't much mobile reception out there.
  2. I started at about 05:00, but made it to the ferry earlier.  There was a long line for the ferry to Bremerton.

There were around a half-dozen cyclists on this ferry, and we all dispersed at the first intersection.  I caught up with one of them at the top of the hill; he was riding a 2010 Aurora Elite to meet family at Poulsbo.  Unfortunately, my GPS's batteries ran out so I let him go.  He offered to wait for me and show me a part of his route he liked, but I didn't want to keep him.
  7. As always, it was rolling hills the entire way.  The long rides out here are certainly more difficult than many of my past ones!
  8. I saw car after car carrying mountain bikes when on SR-104; I didn't think much of it until I saw a long line of them waiting to turn left at a sign that read "EPIC NW" something-or-other.  A guy who was riding past there said that there were races going on in there.
  9. I did see a lot of cars carrying bikes for the rest of the day, mainly mountain bikes.  I thought, "Some people drive to go ride their bicycles, but I ride my bicycle to go ride it."
  10. There was actually a little rain when I got to the top of the hill past the Hood Canal Bridge, but not much.
  11. After parting with Beaver Valley Road from last weekend's ride, I went along a number of roads comprised mainly of chipseal in varying states of repair.  I saw very few cars along this area.
  12. These hills kept going, but it was definitely worth it.  There was also a guy hiking along here, as well as a very old man jogging in the middle of the road.

  16. Shortly after joining US-101, I saw this interesting restaurant property "FOR LEASE."  There's a switcher at the far end, but the tracks don't keep going.
