  2. This ride is something of a sibling of an earlier ride I did.  The plan for this ride (red; not fully followed as detailed later) and the track for the other one (green) cover different parts of the same areas.

  4. As usual, I started at 05:00.  There was a light mist in the air.
  5. Along the 2nd Avenue bike lane, some guy was riding uphill.  As this lane is on the left side of the road and I needed to make a right at the bottom of the hill, I was already in the rightmost lane so nothing bad actually happened.
  6. The South Park Bridge appeared to already have at least its western bascule section in place…finally.  (Don't ask me why Storify won't embed this.)
  7. I saw folks launching boats and fishing along the Duwamish Waterway and Green River as I rode along the Green River Trail.

  16. I left the highway a ways up the highlands near the White River Amphitheatre, where there was a lot more farming than I had expected.  I always thought it was all just foothills out here.

  18. Around here, the mist was condensing on my goggles repeatedly, making it even worse than rain.
