Last semester, I took a course in our College of Visual and Performing Arts, , on black and white film technique. I was worried - as a policy studies, political science major - that there would be a steep learning curve. There was, but I emerged from the class with so much confidence in my ability to take photos with a film camera, develop black and white film, and print my own photos. In the class, I was able to discover my "style" in developing, and so a lot of my work has very dark and deep blacks and bright whites.
Here is a photo I took at a meeting with our Dean of Student Affairs Rebecca Reed Kantrowitz, our Chief Financial Officer Lou Marcoccia, and the Graduate Student Association (GSO) President Can Aslan. We are crafting an effective media strategy to convey the University's budget to students. Crouse Hinds is a building where a lot work happens, but when you take a peek out the window and see our beautiful campus, it will reminds you why you're here. Hall of Languages, you look beautiful! -AS #SyracuseU
