SEDA Spring Teaching Learning and Assessment Conference 2012 The Student Journey

  1. The overarching theme for the Spring conference was the Student Journey.
    The sub themes were:      
    Student transition | Engaging students in their learning design and /or assessment | Students as researchers | The student voice in staff professional development | Preparing students for work
  2. Below are a curation of tweets from delegates and virtual followers of the conference hashtag #sedaconf12. Withi n Twitter you can follow a chosen hashtag which then brings together in one stream all the tweets that have it included.  The aim of this Stoify is to give a flavour of the highlights from this two day event. I myself wasn't present at the conference but was still able to learn from the great Tweeters present. 
  3. The new SEDA technology enhanced practice launched a blog and had the first informal meeting of members. 
  4. Delegates travel from far and wide receive a warm welcome at the Queens Hotel Chester
  5. A number of SEDA colleagues were unable to make this, but as you will see were keen to follow the highlights via Twitter
  6. The conference commenced with a Keynote Address: Holding students to a higher standard Usman Ali NUS, Vice President (Higher Education)
