Fox's "Grease: Live" reaction: tears, cheers and few jeers

Fox aired its first live production on Sunday with "Grease: Live" that had an added twist: a live studio audience. The show also changed a few plot lines and for some reason, added a song for Carly Rae Jepsen. Vanessa Hudgens, whose father died the day before, was the clear favorite as Rizzo.

  1. The ending was big -- it started at the gym and then the crew all got into carts and drove to the set of the carnival while they were singing the entire time. At one point, one of the carts hit a curb.
  2. The Thunder Road race happened with clever lighting and shaky cameras, and it worked ... for the most part. Oh, and Eugene gets a T-Bird jacket.
  3. Vanessa Hudgens solo put her back in a high school musical.
