Team Ceviche's will face Pine Valley Market crew in final round Thursday

  1. It's a good year for newcomers in the Wilmington leg of the Got to be NC Competition Dining Series. Team Ceviche's, captained by the restaurant's executive chef, Sam Cahoon, won over diners and service industry professionals Tuesday night to defeat team 65 Roses helmed by Michael's Seafood executive chef Brandon Stark. The night's secret ingredients were North Carolina seafood, Miso Master organic miso and Emerald Cove seaweed, which resulted in a decidedly briny six courses. The series final will be held at 6 p.m. at Bluewater Waterfront Grill in Wrightsville Beach. The dinner is sold out, but there is a waiting list for last minute openings.
