  1. Have you heard about the new exhibition in the Program Room? You should take a look. It's called The Colour of Sound, Exploring Synesthesia.

    "Synesthesia is the production of a sense impression relating to one sesse of part of the body by stimulation of another sense or part of the body."


    Salt Spring artists Frank Huether and Sandra Charge explore how music can guide the artist's brush strokes. Whether it is the connection of music to colour or the provocation of music to emotion and movement, there is an underlying energy in sound that permeates into the senses.
  2. The exhibition runs from the 2nd to the 30th of January 2016.
  3. The exhibit is open for viewing Monday-Saturday 10am to 5pm (when the room not otherwise in use).

  6. For the past year local children's author Margriet Ruurs has been reviewing other Salt Spring authors in her series Salt Spring Reads.

    "Salt Spring Reads is an online blend of book review and book club sharing the stories of books with Salt Spring Island roots, and to discuss them with the community."
