Clara and Sári invite you to think and experiencehow images and cinema can be a powerful tool against racism andxenophobia. In this workshop first we will explore the main issues ofrepresentation of Roma in film history. We will go deeper into questions aboutrepresentation through concrete image and film analysis. As films are verypowerful medium to empower, shape representation, our action will be to createour own images, photos or short films to challenge stereotypes andpreconceptions. We will exhibit our photos and project our short films duringthe last day public event.
We are planning to analyze images
from different movies about Roma people, a shortinput about the main issues of Roma representation in film history, the questionof power in representation.
We will watch and analyze one film

no-innocent- picture and one we made during FOCUS training course in Lyon. Then our actionwill be to create photo or video project (they will choose personally ifthey want to do photos or video).
