  1. Opening keynote

  2. Tony Hey, former Vice President of Microsoft Research, reflected on progress made over the past decade on digital curation. His breadth of knowledge provided a fascinating retrospective. He called for libraries to take on the role of data stewards and reposition themselves as central to research.
  3. International perspectives panel

  4. Geoffrey Boulton of the University of Edinburgh chaired a panel on international perspectives on open research & curation with Riitta Maijala, Clare McLaughlin and Mark Thorley. Discussion focused on the responsibilities of funders and institutions in driving cultural change, specifically the role of Data Management Plans and the future of the library.
