Community Access to Data through the newly-launched Opportunity Project

Several #BaltimoreDataDay attendees attended a demonstration of a joint initiative led by the White House, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Census Bureau and Presidential Innovation Fellows called the "The Opportunity Project." This project aims to drive innovation in leveraging technology for easier access to neighborhood-level data in an effort to increase opportunity for families.     Baltimore Data Day is an annual workshop hosted by the Baltimore Neighborhood Indicators Alliance-Jacob France Institute in the Merrick School of Business. BNIA's student intern, Alange Jacobs, who is completing his degree from UBs Klein School of Communications was also invited to attend.
