We've reached the end of another busy year here at Clarence House and we wanted to share some of our top moments from the year. Here, in no particular order, are just some of the events that have shaped 2015!

The Prince of Wales became a grandfather for the second time

The Prince of Wales made his ninth visit to New Zealand, and his 15th to Australia in November this year. Together with The Duchess of Cornwall they visited 12 cities and towns; seven regions of New Zealand and three Australian states and one territory in just 12 days.

The Prince of Wales attended CHOGM for the fourth time, accompanied by The Duchess. The Prince of Wales's attendance reflected his 40 years as an advocate for global sustainability and youth opportunity. Amongst other engagements he attended the Special Session on Climate Action and addressed the CHOGM Business Forum.

The Barossa Valley in Southern Australia boasts a strong farming heritage and is known for its abundant produce, stunning beauty and sense of community. Day One: Arrival in Wellington

Day Three: Newquay
On the third and final day of the royal visit to Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall spent time in the town of Newquay. In the morning, Their Royal Highnesses's first stop was beautiful Fistral Beach for Ocean Plastics Awareness Day.

The day was staged to highlight the efforts of local volunteer groups tackling marine litter on the beachfront and the work done to promote recycling and stop plastics from entering the marine environment. Ocean Plastics Awareness day was co-ordinated by organisations Surfers Against Sewage, Clean Cornwall and the Marine Conservation Society, of which The Prince of Wales is President.

Day Five
On day five of the royal visit to Wales, The Prince of Wales carried out a number of solo engagements. The day began with a visit to Maesllwyni Farm, owned by organic lamb farmers Dafydd and Glenys Jones. His Royal Highness toured the farm before sitting down with other farmers involved in the Duchy Future Farming programme.

The Prince then attended a reception for local farmers and supporters of the Cambrian Mountains Wool Project. His Royal Highness then visited PRIME Cymru (The Prince's Initiative for Mature Enterprise in Wales) and attended the organisation's annual awards ceremony.
PRIME Cymru was founded by The Prince in 2001 and provides advice and support to individuals over the age of 50 who are economically inactive, under employed or at risk of redundancy. PRIME runs the largest mentoring programme in Wales with over 360 volunteer mentors.

The event is called “Travels to My Elephant” and is inspired by the Elephant Family's late founder and The Duchess’s brother Mark Shand, whose rescue of an Asian elephant, Tara, led to its creation. His adventures were recorded in his best-selling book Travels on my Elephant.
Mr Shand, who died in New York in April last year, dedicated his life to saving Asia's elephants.

DAY FOUR: ISLE OF ISLAY
On day four of the royal visit to Scotland, The Duke of Rothesay travelled to the Isle of Islay for a visit to two whisky distilleries and Loch Finlaggan. The Isle of Islay boasts eight whisky distilleries and two of them - Ardbeg and Laphroaig - are marking their 200th anniversary this year.

The loch has a number of small islands where visitors can view the remains of buildings where the installation of the Lord of the Isles took place.
DAY THREE: DUMFRIES HOUSE
The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay spent day three at the Dumfries House Textiles Festival. His Royal Highness established the Dumfries House sewing skills group in 2013 and after meeting with members of the group in June 2014 the idea of a Textiles Festival was formed. The festival celebrates the British textile industry and also highlights career opportunities.

At the request of the British Government, Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will undertake their first official joint visit to Ireland, from 19th–21st May 2015. Their Royal Highnesses will then make a two-day visit to Northern Ireland from 21st - 22nd May.

Both visits will recognise the warm friendship and close cooperation that exists between the UK and Ireland, with Peace and Reconciliation being one of the main themes of Their Royal Highnesses' programme; alongside heritage, community, conservation and innovation.
Day four: Northern Ireland
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall began day two in Northern Ireland with a visit to Mount Stewart House in County Down, where they toured the house and gardens.
Mount Stewart House was originally bought by the Stewart Family in 1744 when it was known as Mount Pleasant. The Prince of Wales visited the house in 2010 and since then, this National Trust property has undergone significant work. Their Royal Highnesses were able to see the results of a three year, £7 million restoration project, which has just been completed.

Their Royal Highnesses met staff and National Trust volunteers while at Mount Stewart.
The National Trust is a charity which aims to protect, and open to the public, over 350 historic houses, gardens and ancient monuments. The Prince of Wales has been President of the National Trust since 2003 and is passionate about preserving special places in the UK.

The last stop on Their Royal Highnesses’ two day Northern Ireland tour was the Corrymeela Community. The Corrymeela is the oldest peace and reconciliation centre in Northern Ireland, and is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. The Prince of Wales previously visited the centre in 1998 and opened the main house.

Their Royal Highnesses arrived in Louisville today to continue their tour of the USA. They were welcomed by the Governor and First Lady of Kentucky and their first stop was a Cultural Festival at the Centre for African American Heritage.
A letter from boxing legend Muhammad Ali was read out to Their Royal Highnesses by the Mayor of Louisville during a visit to the Kentucky Centre for African American Heritage. He ends by telling The Prince and The Duchess "we think you are the greatest".#RoyalVisitUSA · Clarence House
Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed to the centre by the River City Drum Corp. Inside, the Louisville Youth Choir performed a specially commissioned piece to commemorate the visit, called "Kentucky Royal Fanfare".
