Get Smart About Content

On Sept. 25, I presented at Podcamp Boston 6 on how to create content that is sustainable, useful and goal-driven.

  1. Content is great, but it requires work. We need to be attentive to our content, and purposeful in our execution.

  2. We talked about picking your channels and being where it makes sense to be -- you don't need to be everywhere! Appreciate each channel on its own merits and tailor your message accordingly. Also, your channels should support and reinforce one another. Don't create content islands -- create a content archipelago.

  3. If effective content makes you awesome, and being awesome is fun, then creating effective content is fun!
