24 million people are projected to lose insurance if the American Health Care Act passes. There are countless reasons as to why this bill will hurt so many Americans- high risk pools, incredibly high insurance rates for those with pre-existing conditions (like diabetes, mental health, IBD, or even a c-section), out of pocket cost limits, and so much more.

#HealthcareMatters because these daily meds cost me over $6k/month without insurance. I've made nearly $3k since January running my own business. You do the math.

Last day in #baltimore helping a residential substance abuse facility implement best practices in working to fight and treat the growing opiate addiction epidemic in this area! Next DC!! This nonprofit organization receives its funding largely from donations and enrolled clients that have Medicaid. Addiction is a health problem just like cancer and can be treated. It's been a great experience and a honor working with those on the front line helping to fight and treat addiction. It's so important that lawmakers understand without Medicaid millions will lose access to care and treatment from facilities like the one I've been doing consulting work with these past few days. #somethingtothinkabout #donteliminatemedicaid #healthcarematters #mentalhealthmatters #addictionisatreatabledisease
