This week at Donalda School ... November 20 - 24

Quality Education in a Caring Environment

  1. Greetings,
  2. I would like to start by congratulating the Donalda Girls Volleyball Team on the exceptional year. On Saturday, they competed in CWAJHAA at Caroline and finished second place. From the sounds of things, the final match was one for the ages. Both teams competed hard and Clive won 18-16 in a final set. When I talked to Mr. Seale on Saturday night, he emphasized how proud he was of this team. Great job Eagles!
  3. On Wednesday morning, Grade 1-6 students will be travelling to Erskine for the second show in the County of Stettler series. We will be watching a magician named Steve Harmer perform a program called Brilliant and Resilient! Please see the note below with more information.
  4. With the end of volleyball, we are moving into basketball season. Before Christmas, we are going to run combined practices with the boys and girls. Our first practice will be on Wednesday from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm. We want all Grade 5-9 students who plan on playing to be at this practice. Mr. Siemens is excited!
  5. No school on Friday for both teachers and students. Have a great long weekend!
  6. We have Donalda Community Calendars for sale at the school. If you are interested in purchasing one, please contact the office.
  7. Willow Canyon will be open weekends from Friday afternoon to Monday morning for area children to go sledding and tobogganing for free. It will remain open during Christmas Break. If there are ATV recreational vehicles anywhere on the property then the gates will get locked again.
  8. Clearview School Division has developed a policy for waving/reducing school fees for families due to economic hardship. For more information, please see the link below.
