This Week: Burger Recipes \ ' \ Nangari ' Typical Australia


  1. After 5 days of struggling with work, the weekend was a  fitting moment to enjoy delicious dishes. This time, the burger from the region of South Australia, Nangari we present. Not just any burger, because the grain is whole wheat bread using a typical round Australia.

    Nangari is the name of one of the towns in South Eastern Australia, 270 km north of Adelaide. Burgers made of special, i.e. a burger that uses ' damper ' or typical round Australia wheat bread, very popular in this area.

    Originally, ' Damper ' is made using bonfire, and usually  enjoyed by those who are camping in the mountains.

    Now, the ' Damper ' can be created in a modern but still made from wheat.

    How to make a burger Nangari this is not difficult, just follow  the instruction below.

    Servings: 4-6
    Level of difficulty: low
    Preparation time: 10 minutes

    500 g minced meat
    1 cup milk
    1 can chicken soup
    2 eggs
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 clove finely chopped garlic
    1 carrot
    1 cup flour which has been sifted with baking soda and salt
    1 glass of water

    How to Cook:
    Chopped onions and grated carrot.
    Place all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together.
    The mixture will look wet but it is true.
    Preheat a barbecue plate and pour or spoon the batter into the ' damper ' round wheat bread (bread burger).
    Cook over low to moderate heat, until the side and it started a bit browned. Flip the burgers and cook until golden brown.
    Cook one at a time.

    Chef's Note: this recipe more delicious with the grated zucchini, spinach, finely chopped fresh herbs and garlic. Feel free to experiment!
