Journalists' reactions to The New York Times' decision

Journalists expressed mixed reactions to the Times' decision not to acknowledge the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on its front page.

  1. In an informal Poynter.org poll, responses were split pretty evenly. 44 percent of the 160 or so respondents said yes, it's time to move Sept. 11 remembrances off the front page if there's nothing new to report. Another 44 percent said it's not OK, and that it's possible to find new angles.
