Clashes broke out in Istanbul's symbolic İstiklal Avenue, the Beşiktaş and Harbiye districts, but police start to withdraw around 4 p.m., ahead of a march by the Republican People's Party (CHP).- At 4 p.m., when word spread of police withdrawal tens of thousands of citizens and families went to the heart of the protests to celebrate what they consider a victory.
