As most people say, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  This recipe by Bethenny Frankel is cheap and healthy.  One great thing about this recipe is that the majority of the ingredients don't expire quickly.  Each Sunday you could make a large batch of this recipe and eat it for an entire week.  The ingredients are also not expensive so it will not hurt your budget.

  3. When trying to eat healthy it is better to eat many small meals a day and that requires snacks in between some of the larger mealtimes.  There are plenty of easy snack ideas to stick in your purse or pull out when at home.

This video gives an entire day of cheap meals specifically for college students and they are all fantastic, however I think her lunch idea is the best.  Meat and nuts tend to be slightly expensive and therefore, buying protein when you are on a diet is tough.  Tuna is one of the cheapest proteins you can find at the grocery store.  And just putting it with crackers is also quick.  Whether at work or in between classes, any people don't have time for a long lunch break and this is the perfect cure!

  6. When eating healthy, it is likely that you will need a small snack between lunch and dinner.  On the Today Show, Joy Bauer shared some of her favorite snack finds that are also delicious.  Some of the options are cheaper than others but these are all incredibly healthy.

For dinner we have another Bethenny Frankel recipe, this one for spaghetti bolognese.  In this recipe she tries to use ingredients that people may have around their houses, which makes it even cheaper. A pack of spaghetti is usually around a single dollar at the grocery store, a great bargain.  This recipe also makes a lot of servings as well so you can eat it more than once a week.

  9. For dessert we have something slightly different, chocolate bananas.  Not only are bananas a healthy choice for dessert by a bunch of bananas is also one of the cheapest fruits around.  Yes you should eat fruit multiple times a day so why not stick a serving in for the dessert course! 
  10. Most people love cookies.  Oatmeal raisin cookies are the 'healthy' version to the cookie.  This recipe by Bethheny Frankel looks incredibly delicious!

  12. And finally for a fun summer beverage this recipe is great!  I am not sure if it entirely fits into the healthy framework but after a long week it is okay to sit back with a drink and some friends!
