K-State "Wildcat Wave" Homecoming 2011

Kansas State University celebrated Homecoming Oct. 23-29, 2011, with the theme, "Wildcat Wave." Here, the story is told through the tweets, Facebook posts, photos and videos of K-State entities, alumni and students.


  1. Sunday, Oct. 23: Wildcat Wave Homecoming started with the All-University Philanthropy 5K Race, benefiting Shepherd's Crossing. Later in the day, spirit signs, banners and sidewalk chalking contests took place. The Crazy Cat Kickoff engaged the students living residence halls that evening in Weber Hall.

  3. Monday, Oct. 24: Spirit signs were posted to the web so that K-Staters everywhere could be a part of Homecoming and vote for their favorites! Monday's feature event was Pant the Chant where students competed with rhythmic cheers.

  5. Tuesday, Oct. 25: Homecoming Week momentum was gaining as the highly anticipated event, Wildcat Request Live (WRL), took place Tuesday evening!
