Making Your Own Healthy Smoothies!

I love smoothies but hate how expensive they are! I've been experimenting at home and let me just tell you they taste terrible. I'm on the search for some healthy smoothies that are simple. Keyword is simple. I searched the web and came up with a few I am going to try and you should too!

    Apple Juice
    This video is a great simple video on how to make a plain strawberry smoothie. Not many ingredients are included and it doesn't take long at all! She doesn't really give exact measurements but I like it because you can add more or less of each ingredient depending on what you like or dislike.

    2 cups of strawberries
    1/2 cup almond milk
    Blend it up and viola you get a delicious vegan-friendly strawberry banana smoothie thanks to "The Sweetest Vegan"

  8. I'm not a big banana fan but some people love it, so I had to include it on my search for the perfect smoothie. The Smoothie Channel on Youtube is a great outlet for smoothies. They do a great job with a banana one. This does have some more ingredients then the others but it seems like this guy knows what he's doing. 
    2 cups of milk
    3 ice cubes
    2 bananas cut into pieces
    1/2 cup of plain natural yogurt
    1 tablespoon honey
    2 scoops vanilla ice cream
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    10 drops artificial coloring (orange or yellow) (optional)
    Blend for a minute
    Coat cup with honey and enjoy your smoothie!

  11. Being healthy doesn't always have to be so fruity! Chocolate lovers with a sweet tooth can also enjoy smoothies! I know there my favorite.
    2 bananas
    2 tablespoons cocoa
    2 tablespoons peanut butter
    1 cup yogurt
    1/2 cup milk
    But since we have peanut butter in it--stop blending and make sure the peanut butter isn't sticking to the sides! Then blend it again until its the consistency you enjoy!
