So are you saying that you would prefer to have the uTorrent client use far more resources on the host machine to maintain lists of PeX messages from every job not just the ones that activeconnected clients and when a message was last sent to that client, rather than send the messages as and when received. Therefore a better solution would be to look at the number of Peer Exchange messages over a longer time, like several minutes. But what good does that do, exactly? Are you using a very low download rate limit? Sometimes there is only 1 seeder. Basically, want the seeding to be handled by my seedbox, and only upload to a single user my 2nd self from my computer. Figured it out already probably - just get a new IP. What is the best way to cope with them, assuming they do indeed exist?

While the passwords may not be used as a vector on the forums, those hashed passwords should be considered compromised. Also as others have noted, more and more peers are being banned in this particular torrent. However, there should be some tolerance to clients that send a PEX message just under a minute since the last PEX message. Our vendor has made backend changes so that the hashes in the file do not appear to be a usable attack vector. Yet another obscure setting is not good, because users will set it wrong.

As a result, attackers were able to download a list of our forum users. It becomes critical in the smaller older rarer torrents, those which have only a handful of peers available. No one will fix bugs in them if any anyways. A peer might be given an extra PEX message allowance for every minute during which it does not send any PEX message. It is not a mandatory requirement or a precise timing to be adhered to. As PEX messages are packets of data. On June 6th, 2016, BitTorrent was made aware of a security issue involving the vendor which powers our forums. Over, and over, and over.

Is there something I can do as a user to fix it. Plus, both of the above mentioned versions are unsupported. I found it by reading Help at about the same time as you posted. But without any information in the log menu.

On Preferences expand the Advanced tab. My IPv6 number get banned over and over. My WiFi router gets banned over and over again on all torrents.
