Twitter Scavenger Hunt

A weekend review of UF and Gainesville, presented as an assignment for my social media management class.

  1. School/Community Spirit: A stadium full of excited Gator fans, from the students to the alumni and local residents, show just how much pride there is for the University of Florida.
  2. Favorite Food/Drinks Place: I wanted to make sure I chose a restaurant unique to Gainesville, and it just so happens that Leonardo's By The Slice is a short walk away from campus. Besides, I always enjoy good pizza.
  3. Professor on the Street: Professor Charles Perrone has witnessed social media become a part of daily life during his visits to Brazil.
  4. Student on the Street: Senior Jeff Solius can't wait for Novemver to get here, so he can make the drive to Tallahassee and support his Gators while they play our biggest rival!
  5. Academic Excellence: UF has been pushing to become a Top 10 university, and the Innovation Academy program seems to be a step in that direction.
  6. Summer Fun: On a hot Saturday in the Swamp, nothing helps keep the outdoors fun going like setting up a tent to keep you cool and refreshed.
  7. Scenic Spot: I personally love views with a body of water somewhere in front. My first year in UF, I came across this little boardwalk on the shores of Lake Alice, and every once in a while, I come here to think and take a deep breath.
  8. Fanatic Fans: These Gator fans have high hopes for the 2014-15 football season. Let's hope they're right in the end!
  9. Extracurricular Extravaganza: Aaron Colverson is getting ready for the new ultimate frisbee season by practicing with teammates on Lake Alice Field.
  10. Freestyle: I'm still convinced that not too many people on campus (or even in the city) know about the Baughman Center on Museum Rd. Even when the entrance doors are closed, I think it's worth looking at from the outside.
