  1. The Pacific AIDS Network (PAN) hosted the Exploring Effective Interventions Conference for PAN member organizations and other allied/partner organizations. [#PANConf]

    Frontline prevention, education, harm reduction, health promotion workers and program managers and developers will gathered to explore, learn and discuss best and innovative practices in the prevention of viral hepatitis, STIs and HIV.
  2. A SUMMARY OF CONFERENCE EVENTS:
  3. Wednesday, February 26th
    Started with Dr. Dan Allman from the University of Toronto, Dalla Lana School of Public Health. Dr. Allman explored the question: What is meant by "effective" interventions? The challenges of interventions from a methodological and evaluatory perspective.
     
  4. Next Warren Michelow provided a Epidemiology 101 presentation -- setting the stage for all participants for the more detailed epi update to follow. 

  5. Next Dr. Mark Gilbert and Dr. Naveed Janjua from the BCCDC provided a comprehensive epi update of HIV, Hepatitis and STIs
