News is filtering in of what many believe is a small earthquake or tremor in Melbourne, followed by a second, smaller aftershock.
- AFTERSHOCKS are expected after Melbourne was rocked by a a series of earth tremors today following a small earthquake at Korumburra. Residents told of hearing a loud bang when the quake hit, while tremors were felt across Melbourne. Geoscience Australia recorded the 4.4 magnitude quake as hitting at 11.32am.
Websites for Geoscience Australia Earthquake Monitoring and ES&S Seismology Research Centre appeared to crash...But Twitter isn't down, it's positively abuzz! The #melbquake tag is now at the top of the Australian trends list.

@AquaGirl72 4.4 I'm from Christchurch. That's a don't bother to panic size. It will shake you and give you a fright but it's not a big one.
