  1. How do we get the next generation of digital savvy communities crossing the threshold of our cinemas in a world of ‘everything, everywhere, now’? How do we create routes into that ‘enchanting’ moment of watching a film in the cinema, that collective experience - where film defines itself, where its full meaning has the potential to be revealed.

Led by Ian CHRISTIE (Professor of film in London, Great-Britain) and Madeleine PROBST (Programme Producer, Watershed Media Centre in Bristol, Great-Britain), this seminar will address the question of the future audiences, the different digital generations and the cinema communities.
Plenary sessions and workshops – also led by Maciek Jakubczyk (T-Mobile New Horizons, Poland) and Mathias Holtz (Folkets Hus och Parker, Sweden) – will enable exhibitors to exchange know-hows and share their experience of programming initiatives, special events and marketing strategies, in particular with young audiences in mind.
