America we have forgotten who we are and how we got here!

  1. Two hundred and thirty seven years ago 55 very brave men risked their lives, their properties and their families to help make America a sovereign nation by drafting a document that would separate us from the tyranny of Britain. The British Empire threatened to kill their family members. They told them they would forfeit their properties, their money and their lives. That did not stop them. They did this in direct defiance of King George and the British Empire. The penalty was death!
  2. In mid-June 1776, a five-man committee including Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin was tasked with drafting a formal statement of the colonies' intentions. They created the most sacred document ever written by man. The document ascertained that the citizens of the United States of America had freed themselves from a tyrannical and totalitarian governing body by which they had felt both betrayed and wronged. Furthermore, the words of the Declaration of Independence ensure that any subsequent governing bodies will be sworn to act on the behalf of the people that it serves. This was in contrast to their perception of the methodology of a monarchical model of government, which the authors of the Declaration of Independence had noticed in the inverse - citizens living under a monarchical government are servants of the government, while the government serves the aristocratic class.

  3. The following are the actual words from the Declaration of Independence July 1776

    When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, --That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States.

    "Who talks like that? You think these were just words from well-educated lawyers? No it was divine providence. Did you know that divine providence was mentioned 82 times in our founding documents? Eighty two times! For you low information liberals, divine providence means God".

    Many Americans at the time were siding with the British. They were called loyalists. The rest were called Revolutionaries or Patriots. The king sent a document to America stating that all Americans loyalist or not must render quarter to all British soldiers. Provide them shelter and give them their money and food and they even threatened to take their guns. Between the French and Indian War and the buildup to the Revolution many Americans were torn between which sides to choose. The economy was in shambles. We were in debt and were printing money. We borrowed money from other countries like France and others. The continental army made of inexperienced farmers and poor colonials fault valiantly to defend the land we now call America.

    The British Empire had the largest Navy the world had ever seen. Did you know that Britain also taxed our ships and their goods? They taxed Rum which was one of the biggest money makers of the time. Then Britain decided to "force" our hand by taxing everything from stamps to tea. Lands were stolen; food, weapons and yes even "rights" were taken by the British Empire from the colonials. The Patriots belief in the idea of America being a free and sovereign nation resulted in the defeat of British during the revolutionary war.

    On October 19th 1781 British General Charles Cornwallis formally surrenders 8,000 British soldiers and seamen to a French and American force at Yorktown, Virginia, bringing the American Revolution to a close. General Cornwallis surrendered 7,087 officers and men, 900 seamen, 144 cannons, 15 galleys, a frigate and 30 transport ships. Pleading illness, he did not attend the surrender ceremony, but his second-in-command, General Charles O'Hara, carried Cornwallis' sword to the American and French commanders. As the British and Hessian troops marched out to surrender, the British band played the song "The World Turned Upside Down."

    Before General Cornwallis surrendered to the Americans he spoke to his commander privately stating "how did it come to this, beaten by farmers with pitch forks".

  4. "We defeated the world’s largest professionally trained and well supplied army and sent them back across the Atlantic".

    American Exceptionalism:

    During WW II the greatest generation fought two enemies on two different fronts and defeated both. Our Navy defeated the Japanese Imperial Navy with only four ships. After doing all that they built our cities and continued the industrial revolution which leads the transistor which leads to the computing age which leads to the digital age. So for all of you that think smart phones and other technology comes from a store think again. You can thank the WW II generation or you wouldn't have any of it.

    We are AMERICANS and we are EXCEPTIONAL. Our history is replete with examples of it.  Advanced technologies were developed as a result of the industrial age that helped us surpass the ordinary. The SR-71 Blackbird Spy plane was created by using slide rules. We built the world’s most powerful rocket called the Saturn V that sent men to the moon. We defeated two enemies, built a nation, split the atom, built rockets then sent men to the moon, and then whole new industries were born such as technology and software that changed the world. We are the people that think outside the box. We think big then we think even bigger. Then we make it happen. As a result we became the envy of the world.

  6. America is "you and I" the individual. We raised our kids not the government. We built that company. We built cities, roads and bridges. Individual responsibility is what being American is about. Not depending on government but instead on ourselves. There is a lot of fear among Americans these days. But the only thing we have to fear is doing nothing.

    America what are you so afraid of? Why are you hiding in the shadows and sitting on the couches in your homes staring at those stupid portable devices and watching garbage on TV? Because you don't want to hear the truth? They want us to be afraid of our own shadows so they can control us. By taking our rights one by one, our guns, and the right to speak freely. Our children are being forced to learn Common Core which teaches that 1 + 1 does not equal 2. The only requirement is that they explain how they arrived at their answer.

    Our government has become so corrupt that soon they will be knocking at our door, taking our guns and anything else they want. America stop being political cowards. Stop being afraid of individuals who think they can tell the rest of us how to live. Stop being afraid of our politicians. They work for us NOT the other way around. The only reason they have their cushy jobs is because we gave it to them. America stop being afraid, that is not who we are. Rise up, get up off your six and start acting like Americans. Your about to lose this country and the government is moving fast to take it from you.

    Well time is running out so what can we do?

    Pray in your homes, schools, churches, say the Pledge of Allegiance, tell our leaders in Washington how America is still strong and send a message that we will no longer tolerate tyranny. Let them hear you loud and clear. Call and write your senators and congressman. Annoy the crap out of them. Defund the GOP! Demand Impeachment of the president. Demand justice for Benghazi and keep going. Do your homework. Learn about the representatives that you vote for "before" you vote for them. The Internet is a great tool for that. Tell our government that English is the National language and that removal of "in God we trust" is NOT an option.

    Seek out the truth whenever possible then live by it. Read the bible and try to live by it. I know I know we all slip a little. That's ok God will understand.

    We're not listening to the political cowards in DC anymore. We're not asking for our country back.
