  3. National Public Health Week! This is what public health is to me! Getting out into the community and promoting the fun in health and wellness. Getting kids involved in being healthy at a young age is so rewarding and I love every minute of it! #csufpublichealthweek #csuf #publichealth #healtheducation #kidhealthy #padresenaccion
  4. National Public Health Week💁🏻| For many years, I did not realize how important it is to wear a GOOD sunblock. Especially living in sunny Orange County...its a MUST. Doing so will reduce the risks of developing skin cancer and it can make you look 10+ years younger in the long run (trust me, you can thank me later)! Everyone, and I mean it...whether you have light, medium, or dark skin. Everyone is at risk, isn't that convincing enough?☀️ #CSUFpublichealthweek

  9. "In the U.S., where you live, your income, education, race and access to health care mean as much as a 15-year difference in how long you will live. Equally shocking: studies show that even wealthy, highly educated Americans with access to quality care suffer a health disadvantage to peers in other high-income countries." ...
"Prevention is everyone's job. It takes the entire community to address the social, environmental and behavioral factors that impact our health. Here's how we can work together" (APHA, 2017). #publichealth #NPHW #2017 #APHA #healthadvocacy #national #publichealthweek #community #worktogether #collaboration #prevention #education #urbanplanning #faithbased #organizations #disasterrelief #promote #livingwage #business #violenceprevention #mentalhealth #awareness #socialjustice #policy #doyourpart #healthiertogether #healthcarereform #healthequity #csufpublichealthweek

  12. #csufpublichealthweek Because apart from personal health, environmental health must also be in the forefront of public health concern. Way to go @kpratt911 for recycling! Take great care of our environment and earth, and it will take care of you. P.s. Bonus points if you use reusable water bottles 😉 #circleoflife #publichealth #environmentalhealth

  14. Did you know that about 8 million people in the U.S have an eating disorder? Eating disorders affect both male and females and often strike during adolescence. If not tested, they can have serious, even fatal consequences. Here is to promote today’s Body Image Awareness by painting our hands with pink=love/support, blue=acceptance, yellow=happiness, and green=awareness. Spread awareness and know that you’re not the only one going through struggles like not being happy with your own body, stress, chronic diseases, etc. You’re not alone! Tell someone or a stranger that you care about them and that they're beautiful or handsome just the way they are today👍🏼 To you reading this, stop looking at fitness posts or body goal images wishing you were them(ok I'm guilty)... most of them are photoshopped or have good lighting anyways...YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL/HANDSOME THE WAY YOU ARE😍 If you go to CSUF, post something to spread this awareness to enter and maybe be lucky to be chosen to win some prizes like $100 amazon or $50 Gift Card at the end of the week! #BodyImageAwarenessDay #CSUFPublicHealthWeek #loveyourself
