Missouri fans mostly (but not totally) negative after football team's loss to South Carolina

The Missouri football team traveled to Columbia, S.C., to play its first-ever road conference game in the SEC. The Tigers lost, 31-10, in a game never really in doubt. Few people expected Missouri to win on the road against the No. 7 team in the country, but most were hopeful for a closer game.

  1. Former players couldn't decide whether to be hopeful or disgusted during Saturday's game.
  2. Fans and reporters lost hope for a comeback in the second half.
  3. Some observers echoed statements said throughout the Southeastern Conference that Missouri may not be up to snuff when it comes to competing in the SEC.
  4. Some fans and reporters took a different perspective and realized it's a long road to finding success in the SEC.
  5. And some fans will always take heart in a Kansas loss.
