Police: Suspect in Central Michigan shooting deaths used gun registered to father

Campus police said the gun used in the shooting was registered to the suspect's father. Having the weapon on campus was a violation of school policy, officials said.


  1. CMU student James Eric Davis, Jr. is accused of shooting his parents in a fourth-floor dorm room when they arrived at the school to pick him up for spring break, police said. Authorities also confirmed they had contact with Davis Thursday night when he was taken to the hospital for a drug-related issue and released shortly before the shooting.
