Must-see: Congressman John Lewis takes cosplay to new level at Comic-Con

U.S. Rep. John Lewis, D-Atlanta, just upped the game for cosplayers at San Diego Comic-Con. On Saturday, the civil rights icon dressed as a past version of himself, recreating the outfit he wore as he marched across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, 50 years ago.

  2. According to KNSD, Lewis was at the popular entertainment and comics convention to discuss his graphic novel series "March," a memoir of his experiences during the civil rights movement. He also led children on a march through the San Diego Convention Center.
  3. "It’s important for all our young people to know what happened or how it happened so they, too, can bring about change using the philosophy of nonviolence,” Lewis told KNSD.
