- Everyone gets inspired by looking at nice things. The site above, allows you to dream a little and think about the journey ahead. It also helps to formulate new strategies for getting up to the next level. One of my favourite sites is TED.com. The first 50 seconds of this video is really powerful.
- It is amazing how humans have evolved and it would be nice if we could learn faster and get beyond many of the problems that we face. It all starts by applying new thinking and following progressive people. This means making some tough decisions and cutting some strings with contacts who are of no benefit to where you are going. Why would you want to stay around people who are not getting anywhere? Would you stay onboard a sinking ship? Do you have the words "Born to lose" tattooed on your forehead? Or are you just afraid to make tough decisions? Ten years ago I made a decision to commit to my hobby and do it full time. This was one of the best decisions that I had made. The timing coincided with the proliferation of social media and this has made the band's service very popular.
- Changing your job is a difficult call to make, but it can also be one of the best decisions that you will ever make. Ten years from now when you look back, do you want to be able to say that you were brave enough to do it or regret that you didn't? A Chimpanzee always gets a firm grip on the next branch before letting go of the current branch. That was the strategy that I employed to ensure that the band had reached critical mass as a service business before making the change. The first 2 years were still very challenging and it was a steep learning curve. Now, it is time to develop new income streams and these are the most important things to do in 2013.
- The video above is very inspiring for many different reasons. Kevin O'Leary has had an amazing journey and it is worth noting what the turning point was for him to change his life. There are many other journeys that I have read about and people that I respect for making the tough decisions which changed their life. It is a journey of trial and perfection; recognising what works best for you.
