  1. Our venue this month was Chinook Centre, one of Calgary's largest indoor shopping malls.
  2. We managed to attract a few of our faithful fans, friends and followers, plus some new people to the Awesome Movement as well.  We're so grateful that Chinook Centre allowed us an opportunity to present in their space!
  3. As always, our super-awesome social media team was on hand to relay the night's events.  If you want to catch the Awesome Action at any time, make sure to follow our hashtag on Twitter:  #AWEyyc
  4. Emcee for the night was AF-Calgary Trustee of Awesome Chris Salmon, one of our chapter's Founding Trustees.
  5. To kick off the night, Chris laid down a few rules.
  6. And with that, we started our first Awesome Calgary Thousand Dollar Thursday of the new year.  The Top4 Finalists for January 2013 were Allison Walters with Calgary Repair Cafes, Tony Grimes with Wood Book Workshops, The W.P. Puppet Theatre with Puppet Power and Neil Egsgard with Kensington Interactive.
  7. Up first was Allison Walters with Calgary Repair Cafes.  In her words:  "Repair Cafes are free events to provide people with the tools, knowledge, and assistance needed to repair items instead of throwing them away."
  8. With the pitch over, it was time for a little audience Q & A.
