Sunshine arrives at SXSW along with crowds

Sunday began with gray skies, but by noon, the sun began to show through the clouds, which brought the South by Southwest crowds outside.

  1. SXSW was dealt with long lines at badge pickup and issues with hotel shuttles that brought fest-goers to the Austin Convention Center at the start of the festival. Unfortunately, for some the issues persisted.
  2. Nonetheless, our reporters were ready to tackle Sunday.
  3. Jimmy Fallon was a last-minute add to the SXSW Interactive lineup. He hosted a panel called, "Digital Sport: Know More, Do More," with track and field athlete Allyson Felix, Andrew Wilson of EA Sports, Fred Santarpia, the general manager at VEVO and Stefan Olander, vice president Digital Sport Nike.
  4. Despite the focus of the panel, he seems to be really in to donuts and tacos.
  5. We're all cyborgs, according to Interactive keynote Amber Case, the co-founder of and cyborg anthropologist.
  6. As it got warmer outside, crowds filed out of the convention center to grab free food, including frozen treats.
