The Creative Research Methods in the Social Sciences

  1. The day after the night before: The Creative Research Methods conference was held in London on Friday May 8th, the day after the UK general election. The conference was a welcome break for many:
  2. The idea for the event came from Helen Kara who is an independent researcher and wrote the book 'Creative Research Methods. The structure of the conference matched the themes within the book: Arts based research; Research using technology; Transformative research frameworks; Mixed methods. This made for a very exciting programme and day of learning:
  3. At 10:15am, the chair of the conference Carli Lessof opened the event. Carli is an independent research consultant who has worked in academia, government and research agencies. Her background also reflected the diversity of the delegates:
