Women in Tech Event and Stats, NCWIT Summit 2012

MARCH 2012 CHICAGO The National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) hosted a conference with over 500 attendees learning the leading-edge research and ideas for recruiting, retaining and raising awareness about women in tech. Here are some of the top takeaway tweets.


  1. NCWIT Summit, a three day event located at the Westin River North in Chicago along Lake Michigan brought synergy, connecting leaders, change agents and stakeholders from K-12, universities, industry, and government to strengthen the computing workforce with increased diversity.   

    The event kicked off with a campaign called Sit With Me along with an award ceremony to celebrate many of the women in tech who are making a positive difference.
