Family, Bananas & Horse Riding

You may be asking why the title of this story is 'Family, Bananas & Horse Riding'. As part of my studies for Media Writing at CQUniversity, I had to interview two people about what is important to them and these were some of the things they said.

  1. My first interview was with good friend and fellow mother of all boys, Candice Williams. For anyone that knows Candice, it is obvious that her family and the health of her and her children are the most important things in her life.
  2. With one of her children suffering from severe food intolerances, Candice knows just how important it is to provide him with the right food he needs to sustain his diet and manage his behaviour. In my interview with Candice, she describes why this is so important.
  3. In addition to her health, Candice is dedicated to her studies. Candice is currently completing the STEPS program through CQUniversity, in addition to her other duties as a mother.
  4. My second interview was with my youngest - and liveliest - son Tate. At just five years old, Tate already has a good grasp on the important things in life.
  5. Granted, he may think life is all about sugar and iPads but he still understands that his schooling and healthy food options are important. In my interview with Tate, his older brother Levi (7) adds his input by claiming that fun is important too, to which Tate replies that no, it's not. I did explain here that fun is very important to having a balanced life.
  6. ..... Fun is good. - Dr Seuss

  7. Thank you to both of my interviewees for being put on the spot and sitting through my questions. You both did a great job. Everyone else can read the full interviews at the link below.
