OASPA's 1st Asian Conference on Open Access Scholarly Publishing 2-3 June 2014, Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand


  1. The trip to Bangkok, Thailand, starts with experiencing the New Doha International Airport and an encounter with Urs Fischer's giant teddy bear sculpture!
  2. Checked in at the Shangri-La in Bangkok and treated with some delicious fruit. 
  3. Day 1 of #COASPAsia starts after a very delicious Thai lunch. Attendees start filling up the conference room after getting a strong dose of coffee. Delicious food, good coffee and now for the introductory talks

  9. Not sure if I was hungry at the time after a yummy lunch, but I felt inspired at the moment to make this! Glad people enjoyed it
  10. Unfortunately Lars Bjornshauge from the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) was not able to make it. He did however send a recorded presentation. Was hoping to meet him here. Hopefully next time!
