Unflattening Harvard with Comics

Nick Sousanis, author of UNFLATTENING from Harvard University Press, comes to the Ivy Cambridge campus's Graduate School of Education to talk new (or, rather, quite old) models of thought visually.

  2. The next day, he was speaking at none other than Harvard, with some excitement in the air:
  3. (Admittedly, I spotted Nick outside in advance of the talk, chatting with none other than Henry Jenkins!)
  4. But, back inside...
  5. Nick was introduced by Steve Seidel (mispelled "Sidell"), Faculty Director of the Arts in Education program.
  6. With that introduction, the man of the hour himself took the stage -- and delivered what he admitted was not exciting newspaper copy in terms of the obstacles he didn't face and the challenge he didn't recognize.
