Light a Candle: International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women

Hundreds of people marched across Cardiff on Wednesday 25 November to mark this UN Day. Violence against women is a human rights violation but persists as a coensequence of discrimination against women in law and in practice.

Did you know : 1263 women affected by violence entered refugees across Wales last year, 1 in 5 women in UK has experience some forms of sexual violence or there are up to 100 victims of forced marriage a year in Wales? The annual March and event at Llandaff Cathedral gave people a chance to learn more, raise awareness and reflect on this issue.
