It seems as if the National Football League (NFL) are looking for an excuse to fine a player for petty stuff.
As first reported on YardBreaker.com
, 49ers' running back Frank Gore was fined $10,500 for wearing his socks too low.
Maybe the NFL are looking to make some extra cash or something because they're a $7 billion dollar industry.
Maybe they're trying to flex their power and show the players who is boss.
In reality, this is ridiculous becausethey don't even consider that maybe he feels comfortable with his socks low and performs really well.
I understand that they have to enforce the rules or something in order for their image to remain clean.
If they really want to fine somebody, they should go after Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for trying to kick Ravens defensive player Ed Reed while he was sliding to complete a play.
I know that if it was some other player, they would be quick to fine them.
But because Brady is the most decorated player in the league because of his three Super Bowl rings, they decided to "review" it a bit further and that's garbage.
If the NFL truly want to protect the players from injury, then they should fine Brady for that reckless play.
If they don't, then all of what they were saying about player's safety was just lip service and they don't really care after all.
