It shouldn't be a surprised that the Chicago Blackhawks have a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Finals after coming back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat the Boston Bruins 4-3 in triple overtime.

The Blackhawks have proven that they have the mental toughness to overcome any adversity that faced them this year.

It was evident when they were down 3-1 in the Western Conference Semifinals to No.7 Detroit Red Wings and fought back to take the series on a overtime goal by Brent Seabrook that sent them to the Western Conference Finals.

You can say that people are born with mental toughness and to a degree your right.

However, the mental toughness of the Blackhawks was developed earlier when they started the majority of their games on the road and recorded a point in 17 consecutive games, an NHL record.

That allowed them to collect 21 consecutive wins in the first 24 games of the season (21-0-3).

Though this series will be exciting to watch because of the atmosphere that playoff hockey brings, especially with the fact that the Bruins have already won the Cup in 2011 and have went through a couple overtime games during their run to the finals, it seems that it's a mismatch because the Bruins didn't have the type of regular season that the Blackhawks had and I believe that it gives Chicago an edge in the finals.
