I was bracing myself for a culture shock and people staring and it being so overwhelming that I was intimidated. But it’s not been like that. I’m head over heels in love." - Kenyan ProjectIn the autumn of 2014, I was selected to participate in a new and innovate volunteering programme entitled, International Citizen Service Entrepreneur (ICSE). My allocation was set for the Democratic Republic of Kenya in East Africa.

Counting To Ten in KhmerWhen it came to packing for my 3 month trip to Cambodia I didn't really know where to start, although VSO had sent me some brief guidelines I was thinking things like; how many pairs of knickers do I pack?, Is 5 packs of paracetamol excessive?, Do I bring a jumper?, Will I really need antibacterial powder?!- ICSE Cambodia: "Our entrepreneurial solution was to build new bins for their classrooms out of old plastic bottles. We had 70 children building 7 plastic bottle bins, and they absolutely loved it. The bins will go a small way to alleviating the litter problem around the school grounds in an innovative and creative way. Here’s a short 30 second clip of the day". ICS Entrepreneur: Get busy livingWhat a place. In some ways it's exactly as you'd expect. It's a small rural town located right on the Mekong river with incredible views at sunset.
